Tropical Bamboo, Inc. (Florida Company) is currently operational and sells ornamental bamboo. Tropical Bamboo, Inc. is looking for financing to launch new bamboo operations and produce edible bamboo shoots for consumption.
Tropical Bamboo Shoots, Inc. will produce between 7 and 12 ton (14 - 24 thousand pounds) of edible bamboo shoots per planted acre. Tropical Bamboo Shoots, Inc. anticipates the average price per pound for fresh edible bamboo shoots at time of market will be at minimum $5.00 to $9.00 per pound for standard bamboo shoots and $10.00 to $15.00 per pound for specialty bamboo shoots.
Additionally Tropical Bamboo Shoots, Inc. will have secondary harvest opportunities that include:
- Sale of mature bamboo poles for:
- Bamboo Plywood, Bamboo Flooring, Bamboo Furniture, Bamboo as a building and construction material etc.
- Sale of excess bamboo pulp and fiber from harvesting:
- Bamboo Paper, Bamboo Clothing etc.
It is anticipated that Tropical Bamboo Shoots, Inc. will conservatively produce in excess of $100,000.00 gross income per year per planted acre once crop reaches maturity.
Opportunity also exists to produce and market additional edible gourmet bamboo shoot products (Example: Seasoned or Pickled Bamboo Hearts, Bamboo Chips, and Roasted Bamboo).
Use of Proceeds:
The majority portion of the investment will be secured by land purchase which limits investor’s liability to startup and initial operational expenses.

Market Overview:
Currently edible bamboo shoot production is virtually non-existent in the United States. Tropical Bamboo Shoots, Inc. will be able to set the wholesale and retail market for fresh edible bamboo shoots.
Distribution of editable bamboo shoots will consist of several distinct channels:
- Asian grocers and food suppliers
- Specialty food suppliers
- Retail sales (web based direct to consumer)
